Outreach at Saint Olaf
The
church shares responsibility for the promotion of justice in the world
with many other agencies in society and is to cooperate with people of good will
who esteem human values and seek justice, freedom and the development of
peoples.

-- Directs and supervises Social
Outreach Program
-- Maintains contact with Federal, State, County
-- Maintains membership in “Alliance of the Streets” and Metro
-- Interfaith Council of Affordable Housing (MICAH)
-- Assists Archdiocesan Office of Indian Ministry
-- Contributes to welfare of women and children in poverty
-- Assists in recruiting and training volunteers
Sisters
Denis & Doris
-- Make daily/weekly visits to
elderly and homebound; show when needed
-- Arrange bi-monthly senior citizen gatherings
-- Schedule sacramental opportunities for elderly and homebound
-- Assist with funeral planning and living will arrangements; attend wake and funerals
-- Provide information regarding retreat opportunities and radio liturgies
-- Accompany sick and elderly to the doctor
Volunteers
-- Assists Social Outreach staff
in areas of hospital visitation,
-- Visit and shop for/with elderly, homebound and handicapped
-- Sort and distribute clothing and furniture
-- Donate money and time to the needs of the Social Ministry Program
