Continue our discussion of Triumph by H.W. Crocker III
Chapters 13 through epilogue.
A grand view
of the Catholic Church’s history through the first two millennia. Concise and
informative, intended for the general reader, it is presented with insight and
wit. Chapter 13 begins with the Renaissance period, is followed by the cleavages
in the church caused by Martin Luther and King Henry VIII, and, finally, a
review of the war-filled 20th century, also known as the “century of
martyrs”.
In the end,
this history demonstrates that, throughout the ages, the Catholic Church has held
fast to the truth. According to Crocker, a convert to Catholicism, the history
of the Catholic Church is the most extraordinary story ever told.
H.W. Crocker
III is a journalist and author of many books.
