LITURGY SCHEDULE
Ash Wednesday, February 14
Ashes will be distributed at all Masses.
6:00, 7:00, 10:00 a.m. (Spoken Masses)
11:00 a.m., 12:00 Noon, 4:00, 5:15 p.m. (with Music)
(No confessions will be heard on Ash Wednesday.)

NOTE: Ash Wednesday is a day of fast (one full meal, two small meals and nothing in between) for healthy adults age 18 until 59 and abstinence from meat for those age 14 and older.

Fridays of Lent
February 16, 23, March 2, 9, 16, 23
All Fridays of Lent are days of abstinence from meat.

Stations of the Cross: 11:15 a.m. in the church.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament:  12:30 – 5:00 p.m. in the chapel.

Holy Week 2018

Palm Sunday, March 24/25
Regular Mass Schedule. All are invited to walk in the Palm Sunday procession. Meet in the vestibule before Mass.

7:00 a.m. Mass and confessions / 12:00 Noon Mass

The Sacred Paschal Triduum

No Confessions are heard during the Sacred Triduum.

HOLY THURSDAY, MARCH 29
(No 7:00 a.m. Mass)

12:00 Noon – Mass of the Lord’s Supper (Music Ensemble)
5:15 p.m. – Mass of the Lord’s Supper with Washing of Feet, ending with Transfer of the Blessed Sacrament.  (Schola of the St. Olaf Parish Choir)

Solemn adoration follows in the chapel until 8:00 p.m.

The 12:00 Noon Holy Thursday liturgy will be televised on MCN Cable Channel 6 at 4:00 p.m.

GOOD FRIDAY, MARCH 30
(No 7:00 a.m. Mass)

12:00 Noon – Celebration of the Lord’s Passion (Music Ensemble)
3:00 p.m. – Stations of the Cross (Cantor)
5:15 p.m. – Celebration of the Lord’s Passion (Festival Choir)
Individual Veneration of the Cross concludes each liturgy.

Good Friday is a day of fast (one full meal, two small meals and nothing in between) for healthy adults from age 18 until 59 and abstinence from meat for those age 14 and older. This Paschal fast may be extended until the Easter Vigil in memory of Christ’s suffering, in solidarity with all who are hungry, and in prayer for those preparing to receive the sacraments at the Easter Vigil.

The 12:00 Noon Good Friday liturgy will be televised on MCN Cable Channel 6 at 4:00 p.m.

HOLY SATURDAY, MARCH 31
(No 12:00 Noon or 4:00 p.m. Masses)

7:00 p.m. – Easter Vigil Mass (Festival Choir)
This liturgy lasts approximately two hours. It begins entirely in the dark with the lighting of candles. The liturgy of light is followed by readings and psalms recounting salvation history, renewal of our baptismal promises, and the celebration of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.

The 10:00 a.m. Easter Sunday Mass will be televised on MCN Cable Channel 6 on Sunday, April 1 at 8:00 p.m. and on Monday, April 2 at 10:00 a.m.
