Local RuckSack Group Delivers!

We appreciate Mill City Rucking Crew who delivered Peanut Butter and other essentials for Saint Olaf's Samaritan Ministry needs.

Mill City Rucking Crew is a free social fitness & friendship group in Minneapolis/St Paul and an official GORUCK Ruck Club (click here for Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/MCRCGRTS/about/). We typically meet up on Wednesday evenings and on the weekends and welcome anyone interested to join (of all fitness levels).

If you're unfamiliar with the term "rucking", it's essentially walking with a weighted rucksack (aka backpack), or "urban hiking." Rucking combines strength and cardio, is adaptable to anyone’s goals based on the amount of weight carried, and is a popular, empowering activity for those who hate to run or find it boring.

Rucking Challenges (https://ruckingchallenges.com/) has a monthly challenge that is posted for any and all to participate in. For the month of June, our challenge was to load our rucks with as much Peanut Butter (or canned goods) as we could carry and ruck the donation to a local food bank. We were happy to drop off our donation at St Olaf's Catholic Church to assist with their ministry helping the homeless.

Lastly, GORUCK (https://www.goruck.com/) is a gear and apparel company founded by a Green Beret that also hosts over 1,000 events annually that are led by decorated combat veterans of Special Forces. The intent of these events is to build teams and empower individuals from all walks to lead active, engaged lives.
