Good Friday is a day of fast for healthy adults from age 18 until 59, & abstinence from meat for those age 14 & older. This Paschal fast may be extended until the Easter Vigil in memory of Christ’s suffering, in solidarity with all who are hungry, and in prayer for those preparing to receive the sacraments at the Easter Vigil.
