Liturgical ministries at Saint Olaf offer YOU an opportunity to witness your faith, meet people in the community, pray and serve with other ministers, and deepen your experience of the Eucharist.
Choose a liturgical ministry that is right for YOU — weekends or weekdays, behind the scenes or public, occasional or regular — there is a liturgical ministry for everyone.
Training and mentoring are provided for all liturgical ministries at Saint Olaf. New ministers are ALWAYS NEEDED AND WELCOME. Search for opportunities in the "Serving Hub" at the VOLUNTEER SERVING OPPORTUNITIES link above.
Hospitality Ministries
Saint Olaf has several Hospitality Ministries and we are looking for volunteers in all areas - click on each area to learn more!
Sunday Hospitality Ministers serve coffee and donuts after the Sunday Masses. We are in need of volunteers after the 8:00am and 4:00pm Sunday Masses. We'd love to start hospitality after the Saturday 4:00pm Mass and are looking for new ministers to help at this Mass time.
Funeral Hospitality Ministers serve a luncheon after weekday funerals and greet those in attendance.
Event Hospitality Ministers can help serve during special parish events, and/or help with set-up or clean-up! Events can happen during the day or at night any day of the week.
For more information or to join, contact Vern Reske at VReske@SaintOlaf.org or 612-767-7631.
Samaritan Ministry Needs
Samaritan Ministry needs sheets, blankets, comforters and bath towels for our guests. We ask that items be new, or clean and in good repair. You may drop them off at the front desk the next time you are at Saint Olaf. Thank you!
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy
Communion (EMHCs) to the Homebound are adult parishioners have been
commissioned and trained to bring Communion to parishioners in our local
community, who are unable to attend Mass but wish to receive the Holy
Eucharist. This ministry is a special combination of the ministry of
hospitality and the Eucharistic Ministry. A Homebound Minister represents the
parish by bringing the “Community gathered to celebrate Christ’s presence” to
those who are physically unable to assemble with the congregation.
