Grief Support

Saint Olaf and the Downtown Coalition for Grief Support provide education and support for those grieving the death of a loved one.

Seven sponsoring churches make up the coalition and host the grief meetings.

The aim of the coalition is to provide a respectful, caring atmosphere, inclusive of all faiths.

Excellent speakers, trained facilitators and a group of others who have experienced loss make these sessions a place of healing.

It is possible to walk the path of grief alone. However, the companionship of others wounded by loss is tremendously consoling and powerfully healing.

Meetings are held every Saturday from 10:00am – 11:30am. First-time attendees are encouraged to arrive early to register and share in coffee and refreshments.
9:30am: Registration
10:00am - 10:30am: Educational presentation
10:30am - 11:30am: Three discussion groups for loss of a spouse, child or family member/friend.
