Follow Fr. Kevin and the members of the Downtown Interfaith Senior Clergy on their Civil Rights Tour of the South!

Any updates we receive from the group will be posted here, as well as on our Facebook page, and the Downtown Minneapolis Interfaith Senior Clergy Facebook page.

An excerpt from Father Kevin's January 15 bulletin article, detailing the journey:

"I will be traveling this week with the Downtown Interfaith Senior Clergy as we do a Civil Rights tour of the South. We will be traveling to Atlanta, Georgia, and Birmingham and Montgomery, Alabama. We will be attending a Martin Luther King Jr Service, and visiting the King Center and other sights around Atlanta. In Birmingham we will visit the 16th Street Baptist Church and other public memorials. We will stop in Selma and visit the Edmund Pettus Bridge and move on to Montgomery to visit the National Memorial for Peace and Justice and the Legacy Museum. There will be eleven of us traveling so keep us in prayer. We will be reporting via Facebook everyday of the trip, please journey with us in this way. I am unsure what this trip will mean to me but I am open to seeing, listening, reflecting, learning and sharing. I hope to learn how Martin Luther King Jr and many others served as prophets through their witness to the truth and how today, in word and deed, we can keep moving forward, advancing the Kingdom of God."
